Our employer, a fast-growing retailer specializing in the sports segment in Canada (20+ stores) and Europe, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using industry-leading accounting software
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy
Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, compliance with financial regulations, and adherence to company policies
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, gathering financial information, and supporting financial aspects of various projects
Stay informed about industry trends and changes in financial regulations to ensure the company's financial practices are up-to-date and compliant

The ideal Candidates:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5 years of relevant experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Compensation Range: 50-55k CAD
