Payroll
- Perform day to day payroll functions including data entry of new employees into HRIS, wage and position changes, personnel information changes, etc.
- Input, verify and process biweekly payroll for 350 hourly and salaried employees within established deadlines.
- Ensure the pay run is complete and accurate in terms of employee hours, changes, approvals, overtime, voluntary and statutory deductions and taxable benefits in accordance with company policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Prepare payroll tax submissions within established deadlines.
- Assist with booking payroll costs into general ledger.
- Assist in auditing time records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and following up with any payroll inquiries and provide resolution in a quick and efficient manner to employees.
- Follow up with department managers in a timely and professional manner in the event of discrepancies.
Human Resources
- Provide support and guidance to managers and employees in the areas of recruitment, and policy interpretation.
- Provide full recruitment cycle support, including the preparation and posting of internal and external job postings, resume screening, telephone and/or face-to-face interviews, reference checking and issuing employment offers.
- Administer the new employee on-boarding and orientation program.
- Facilitate employee onboarding process with all new Team Members.
- Process new employee criminal background check paperwork.
- Enter new employees into online training platform and follow up on completion.
- Employee file maintenance including organize, file and maintain employee records.
- Respond to employee inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare various letters including but not limited to, employment verification, corrective counseling, affidavits, etc.
- Assist in the facilitation of training including Orientation, AODA, WHMIS, Health & Safety, etc.
