POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable position reports to the Director of Finance and works on-site at our Richmond BC location.
Job description
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills as they will be working closely with both internal and external parties. Joining the finance team, this role is a permanent full-time position.
Duties
- Accurate and timely invoice issuance
- Receive and record payments
- Manage timely collections by examining customer terms, payment history, credit limit
- Take initiative to resolve questions on a timely basis with customer centric professionalism
- Reconciles subledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and making necessary adjustments
- Prepare weekly reporting requirements for management and provide analysis as needed
- Complete work in a timely manner and quick to offer support to the rest of the finance team
- Other accounting duties including Accounts Payable assistance, general accounting support
- Office and administrative duties as required
Requirements:
- 1+ years of accounting experience with Accounts Receivable focus
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Outstanding organizational skills, data entry accuracy, and attention to detail
- Has a great attitude and willing to expand support to where it is needed
- Aptitude with computer software including Sage 50, Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel
