Your New Role
As Junior Accountant you will report to the Corporate Controller and provide support to the corporate and project accounting teams, gaining exposure to all aspects of the full accounting process. You will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and fulfill the company’s financial reporting obligations. Your duties will include the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, cheque runs, handling GST filings, and the preparation of month-end financial statements. As part of a collaborative team, you will provide administrative support, assist with projects and assignments, and address ad hoc requests to contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong critical thinking and financial accounting skills. This position is most suitable for a student in their final year of a finance or accounting undergraduate degree or a recent graduate in the early stages of their career, seeking to pursue or actively pursuing a CPA designation.
Success in this role requires being a collaborative team player with effective communication skills, a passion for advancing in real estate finance, a proactive problem-solving mindset, confidence in navigating new situations, and a professional and respectful manner in building relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel will also be essential.
