As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Conduct financial audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, to perform daily tasks
- Reviewing Inventory, particularly negative items
- Uploading bank transactions and recording them
Skills:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years in an Accounting related position
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, specifically inventory management
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial auditing
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Packaging or Manufacturing industry experience will be considered an asset
