- Full Cycle Payroll experience (Processing min. 1000 employees)
- PCP Certification or close to completing it or CPM
- Experience with Payroll Legislations
Job Description
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for scheduling, inputting, auditing, and processing the payroll for multiple clients with varying complexities. You will coordinate all incoming payroll data in conjunction with the Shared Services team and maintain complete, accurate, and timely client and employee records. Your role includes responding to and resolving inquiries via telephone or email, ensuring the highest level of customer service. You will serve as the first point of escalation for clients, deliver training, support and mentorship to new hires and peers, and balance clients throughout the year, providing updates and legislative guidance as needed. Additionally, you will complete all Third-Party Remittances by due dates, evaluate processes for automation opportunities, and partner with the New Client Integration team on transitioning new clients.
Job Duties
- Schedules, inputs, audits, and processes the payroll of multiple clients of varying complexities
- Coordinates all incoming payroll data for assigned clients in conjunction with the Shared Services team
- Maintains complete, accurate and timely client and employee records based on real time requests
- Maintains complete and accurate client profile notes and processing instructions
- Responds to and resolves all incoming telephone calls and/or email inquiries from clients and/or their employees, while delivering the highest level of customer service within expected timelines
- Serves as the first point of escalation for clients.
- Delivers training, provides support and mentorship to new hires and peers
- Balances assigned clients throughout the year and during year-end, providing clients with updates and legislative guidance as needed
- Completes all Third-Party Remittances/respective reporting by due dates
- Evaluates processes on an ongoing basis, looking for automation opportunities to maximize operational efficiency
- Partners with the New Client Integration team on the transition of new clients
- Acts as a mentor within the team and provides guidance and support to other team members.

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring three days on-site in Toronto, Ontario and some days remote.
