ABOUT THE JOB
Ekkinox, an affiliate of DRAKKAR, specializes in delivering tailored outsourcing services for asset-based companies, offering comprehensive on-site logistics management across four key service lines: Fleet Management, Dock Management, Stock Management and Supply Chain Management.
We are currently looking for a full-time Human Resource Coordinator to work at the Chatham office, as well as routinely work at the Windsor location. Candidate must have experience and education background in Human Resource field. The position is responsible for Human Resources and Health & Safety duties that support our company objectives at the local sites.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Relationship building with all employees
Manage payroll process and required information by collecting, calculating, and populating input data for successful payments to employees.
Be the point of contact for any Benefits and RRSP administration
Prepares annual performance review templates and provide support in the process; including but not limited to scheduling, tracking, and maintaining records
Maintain succession planning & training
Facilitate conflict resolution meetings and investigations
Respond to employee concerns in a timely fashion
Implement employee engagement and recognition programs
Conduct training in areas of expertise
Track vacation entitlements and usage
Track attendance and escalate concerns to management
Stay current with employment legislation (ESA), HR trends & best practices and provide information and work with the team towards solutions
Assist with policy, procedure, and guideline development. Support adherence.
Ensure policies & procedures are up to date and maintain tracking and training to ensure compliance
Employee handbook development and maintenance
Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
Coordinate with Corporate Health & Safety department in the development and maintenance of a Health & Safety Manual and Safe Operating Procedures and complete training at the local site
Certified representative on joint health and safety committee
Oversee and ensure health and safety compliance & training
Generate memos, letters, presentations, etc.

OUR OFFER:
Salary is $60k-$65k (based on experience & education in Transportation, &/or Human Resource &/or Payroll)
Day Shift, with ability to shift hours as needed
Monday to Friday, Saturday’s as Needed

OUR REQUIREMENTS:
Post-Secondary Education – in Human Resources. CHRP/CHRL is an asset.
Administration/Business Management would be an asset
Experience in Health & Safety, payroll, and benefits administration is an asset
A Minimum of 2-5 years of Related Experience is Required
Certification for Joint Health & Safety is a strong asset
Advanced Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Critical Thinker: Proactive in Addressing Problematic Situations, Isolated and Continual
Effective Public Speaking Skills with Demonstrated Ability to Present Ideas and Information in an Impactful and Understandable Way
