(“Landmark”) is a professional services and research firm that works with Indigenous communities, industry, and government to address environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) subject matters. Much of our work supports the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (“UNDRIP”) with a focus on Aboriginal rights and title, land use and occupancy studies, socio-economic studies, land use planning, stakeholder engagement, and industry and community relations.
We are seeking a Finance Manager, to join our fast-growing team in downtown Victoria. Landmark promotes a strong team environment and looks for leaders to help our organization grow and develop.
About You:
The Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial records and overseeing all finance, forecasting, budgeting, and other corporate functions. They will be expected to advise and assist the Principal owners and General Manager in meeting our overall financial and strategic company objectives.
We are looking for a candidate with a variety of exceptional professional skills, with the ability to take initiative, be proactive, apply professional judgment, work independently, and maintain an impeccable set of financial books and records. Finally, we are looking for a professional with experience overseeing the financial management of Limited Partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships, and Joint-Ventures.
Responsibilities will include all bookkeeping tasks including, but not limited to:
· Full cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and account reconciliations;
·Prepare all government remittances, including source deductions, GST, WCB, Employer Health
Tax and corporate tax instalments;
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and multiple credit card statement reconciliations;
·Maintain the accounting department’s accounting procedures and training manual;
·Research and resolve payment and expense discrepancies;
·Prepare and analyze quarterly financial statements;
·Prepare and update cash flow, operating and overhead budgets;
·Managee and maintain corporate records and reports for LP, LLP, and JV partnerships.
·Year-end financial statement preparation; and
· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:
· Professional accounting designation (CPA)
· 5+ years experience

Location: Victoria, BC
Compensation:
· $110,000 to $120,000 per year with benefits.
