Dunn Capital Corporation (Dunncap) is a well-established company in Collingwood and neighboring communities. It is a diversified private holding company with a focus on real estate, land development, construction, hospitality, and transportation. Dunncap is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the role of Corporate Accountant.
JOB SUMMARY
The Corporate Accountant will be primarily responsible for the accounting aspects of 4 operating hotels. The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for all basic general accounting duties, data entry, accounts payable duties, accounts receivable duties, payroll and general filing. As well, the Corporate Accountant must maintain high standards of quality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reconcile vendor statements
· Deal with suppliers, vendors and internal inquiries in a timely manner
· Liaise and collaborate with Hotel General Managers and staff
· Assist in the analysis of financial reports with General Manager and department heads as needed
· Assist the Corporate Accounting office with projects/tasks as assigned
· Filing and other administrative duties as required
· Perform other tasks assigned by management
· Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations.
· Ensure daily revenues are accurately recorded and uploaded to QuickBooks
· Prepare inter-company invoices and ensure all accounts are accurately reconciled and up to date.
· Prepare month-end reports including in-house financial statements.
· Responsible for all Government remittances, WCB, HST etc.
· Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
· Other duties as requires, including assisting controller in other projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Diploma in Business/Accounting
- Minimum 5 years general accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Experience working in a fast past paced and deadline orientated environment
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Team player with a high degree of flexibility and excellent organizational skills.
- Previous experience with QuickBooks Desktop is considered an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Governed by concurrent and dynamic deadlines, despite conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions.
TYPE OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED
- Reports to the Controller
- Works under general instructions to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.

Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
