Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team reporting to our accountant. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible to help update financials records. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge and experience working with accounting software QuickBooks Online. 2 month project with opportunity for ongoing work of 2 to 3 days a month after.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and process payroll for employees
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors
- Generate financial reports for management review
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Note: This is a paid position.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months
Salary: $21.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
