Magnum Group is a quickly expanding Ottawa based construction company that has served the greater Ottawa area for over forty years. We deal in all areas of exterior cladding both siding and roofing. Over the years we have built a solid reputation by putting customer satisfaction and quality workmanship before profits.
We’re looking for an individual to manage both our bookkeeping and our office. You will be responsible for all the bookkeeping tasks and organizing the flow of work orders and information through the office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Invoicing and processing payments
- Payroll
- Entering bills & expenses
- Monthly reconciliation of accounts
- HST, WSIB and Payroll deduction filings for all three companies
- Inventory control
- Job costing
- Year end reconciliation
- Tracking and collecting accounts receivable
- Organizing approved work orders
- Tracking ordered job material and organizing delivery to job site
Skills and Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Thorough knowledge of quickbooks including job costing
- experience with government filings such as HST, WSIB, and payroll
- strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability to direct and organize office staff
- Attention to detail
Education and Experience:
- College or university level certificate in accounting or bookkeeping
- Experience with Quickbooks Online
- Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience
Compensation:
Salary: $63,000.00-$70,000.00 per year plus benefits
