About Us:
Community Living North Grenville (CLNG) supports individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities so that they can reach their full potential and enjoy all aspects of community life. Support is provided through a wide variety of services that incorporate supported independent living, 24-hour residential support and Passport services. CLNG operates as an administrative shared services agency with Brockville and Area Community Living Association (BACLA).
Your role at CLNG will include:
Participating as a member of the Senior Management team, you will report to the Executive Director and oversee all aspects of accounting and financial activities of the organization.
This would be a great opportunity for someone in a mid-level role such as Financial Officer or Financial Coordinator to grow into a Manager level position.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Prepare and present an annual operational budget which accurately reflects the allocation of funds and meets any funding requirements of the provincial government.
· Monitor the financial stability and viability of the organization and identify any variances/issues to the Executive Director.
· Ensure that complete, accurate financial records are maintained and reported as required to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and MCCSS.
· Ensures that expenditures are properly documented and authorized. Ensures that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
· Implement financial spending and fee collection policies and procedures.
· Ensure that services, supplies and equipment that are purchased are within budget guidelines.
· Obtain the approval of the Executive Director for any purchase of property and mortgage arrangements prior to the implementation of such action.
· Coordinates yearly financial audit with external auditors.
· Supervise employees working in the finance and administration functions.
· Oversee all administrative practices and processes for the organization.
You are a good fit for our role if you have:
· A College Diploma or University degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
· A CPA or CGA designation (or working towards) is preferred.
· A minimum of 3 years related experience at a management level is preferred.
· Experience in a financial role in the not-for-profit sector is required.
· Knowledge of Accounting systems is required; knowledge of Sage 300 is an asset.
· Experience overseeing staff including hiring, coaching and performance management is preferred.
· Knowledge of payroll systems and legislation.
· Excellent computer skills are required.
· Clear vulnerable sector criminal records check is required.
· The ability to travel between two offices in both Kemptville, Ontario and Brockville, Ontario is required.
