Our established small to mid sized construction industry client is currently looking to hire a full time controller. They have provided excavation, paving, snow removal services in the Ottawa area for over 15 years.
Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting team in operations that include Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Job Cost Accounting, Payroll and Revenue Recognition
- Preparation of Budgets, financial forecasts & Report variances
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
- Provide for a system of management cost reports
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Additional ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting
- CPA, CGA, CA or CMA designation required
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in the construction industry and asset
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
