Compensation
- $26-$30 per hour, depending on experience
As the first point of contact in the West Coast Floatation Systems office, the Project Administrator plays an important role. In addition to general office duties such as answering phones, ordering supplies, basic bookkeeping, shipment tracking, and taking minutes for project meetings, the Project Administrator is also responsible for supporting the WCF team in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects. The Project Administrator will maintain and update the production schedule with inputs from estimating, the shop, and other key stakeholders. The Project Administrator will help ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. To achieve these important goals, the Project Administrator will adhere to pre-defined project requirements and scope, acquire necessary project materials and resources, and generally support the efforts of WCF team members.
Our ideal candidate for this position has great customer service skills, communicates and collaborates well with the team, and can adapt easily to quickly shifting priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in material procurement in a fabrication environment is an asset.
- Familiarity with Sage accounting software is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.).
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key managers, and outside vendors.
