Schedule: TBD, work can be completed in the evenings, ideally work is completed earlier in the week.

Job Description
- Prepare various entries and reconcile bank and credit cards as required within QBs (weekly)
- Assist in the preparation of month-end financial statements and provide analysis by working closely with the operations and finance team
- Analyze general ledger accounts monthly and prepare account reconciliations
- Review processes to improve data quality and create efficiencies
- Assist in the completion of tax payment obligations such as payroll source deduction remittances, GST returns, WCB, etc..
- Assist in the updating and maintenance of the corporate cash forecast for actual results and changes to forecast assumptions
- Assist with the transaction processing of day-to-day cash management requirements, which include short-term borrowing/investing activities, foreign exchange transactions, electronic payment administration, cheque issuance, wire transfers and related banking items.
- Support equipment financing activities including analysis of lease proposals, lease schedule maintenance and reporting to management as required.
- Monitoring, reviewing, processing and posting invoices received for payment and assisting the team to reconcile the ledgers to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Manage and promote process efficiencies within the Accounts payable area that support business operations
- Prepare and provide supporting documentation and schedules for financial statement audits and vendor audits
- Maintain proper training documentation, and cross train with members of the department to provide vacation coverage.
- Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned and may be amended from time to time to meet company/organizational objectives
Education and Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting considered an asset
- 3 year experience in an accounting/ advanced level bookkeeping role
- Strong computer skills – require intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Suite, especially Excel (formulas, data filters, pivot tables)
- Experience in energy, oil and gas, engineering services or related industry is an asset
