Position Overview
We are looking to hire an Assurance Manager to provide advisory and assurance services directly to the firm’s clients and partners. Reporting directly to the firm’s partners, the Assurance Manager will be a vital member of the management team, serve as a leader to the firm’s junior staff, and will employ their previous experience and expertise to deliver exceptional value to clients. This role is primarily based out of our Langley office, with travel to our other offices as needed.
Desired Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes
- CPA, experienced with management of audits and reviews
- Strong knowledge of CAS Audits, CSRE 2400, ASPE, ASNPO
- Demonstrates ability to manage and monitor multiple complex engagements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Direct client service experience combined with a solid knowledge of business development
- Strong coaching and people development skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients, based on trust and respect
- A desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute client engagements across different private industries and not-for profits
- Lead and manage accounting and assurance
- Plan and lead teams, ensuring expectations are set and clearly communicated
- Promote firm expertise and services
- Build and strengthen client relationships
- Drive the achievement of team objectives
- Supervise and actively participate in the mentoring, training, and development of staff, including the review of files
- Be a leader through the coaching and performance management process of the firm by providing ongoing feedback and delivering training to develop team members
- Promote a culture of flexibility and inclusiveness
- Read and review files, completed assurance engagements, financial statements, and disclosures for adherence to CPA standards
- Responsible to communicate updates to CPA Standards and Handbook
- Assist with client management and foster excellent relationships with clients, including managing the information flow.
