Payroll Coordinator

Our partnered client is actively seeking a Payroll Coordinator working closely with the HR Manager to assure accurate process of payroll utilizing Ceridian Dayforce. This is a permanent hybrid opportunity located in Oakville. Confident in your ability to collaborate and solve problems? Responsibilities:

• Processing full cycle payroll using Ceridian Dayforce software
• Prior experience processing hourly, salaried and seasonal payroll
• Onboarding and offboarding of employees for payroll
• Handle processing of remittances, benefits, ROE’s, garnishments for employees pay
• Keeping an up-to-date employee file for payroll
• Assist with new hire orientation including collection of onboarding documents for Payroll
• Handling questions from internal employees regarding pay and benefits inquiries
• Offer recommendations to solve employee concerns
• Assure compliance to internal policies
• Building and implementation of new policies with management
• Maintaining electronic filing system & personnel documents

Required Skills:

• 1-3 years experience within a full cycle payroll role
• Processing payroll utilizing Ceridian Dayforce software is required
• Ability to manage internal employee requests regarding payroll
• Understanding of Canada Payroll rules regulations
• University or College Education, preferably within an Finance focused course
• PCP Designation is an added bonus
• Strong understanding of Ontario payroll laws and best practices
• Ability to multi-task and work closely with management when required
• Strong communication skills to roll out new processes when required
• Ability to manage projects and timelines
