We are Creative Outdoor Advertising, a leader in the outdoor advertising industry. Selling advertising space on benches, recycling units, and bus shelters across Canada and the US since 1984. We are looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our team! To provide support to our accounting department.
Compensation: Annual salary of $45,000 per year.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with 45 minutes for lunch.
Position Details: On-site at our Gormley offices at 2402 Stouffville Rd (Highway 404 & Stouffville Road). We are not accessible by public transit so having your own vehicle is a must, but we do offer free parking.
Responsibilities
- Full cycle of accounts payable – vendor invoice, credit card visa statement, and employee expense
- Scanning an assortment of incoming mail for various personnel throughout the organization
- Handling input, summary, and data entry for monthly credit account statements
- Responsible for verifying, matching, and posting invoices
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reconciliation of vendor or utilities statement
- Preparing cheque packages for mail-out
- Performing a daily post office run
- Other tasks as assigned
Description of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone with strong computer skills, who lives close by and is not going to get bored with routine tasks. They must be extremely reliable and be able to work efficiently. In addition, you must be well organized, able to follow processes, and have excellent attention to detail to operate at 100% accuracy. Overall, be professional, have a great work ethic, and a warm personality.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing a large workload, and working independently
- Must have working experience in Accounts Payable
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Very quick learner
Required Education & Skills
- A degree or diploma in Accounting ideally, or Business Administration or Finance. Or 2+ years comparable working experience (i.e., Accounts Payable, Receivable, Bookkeeper)
- Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of general accounting procedures and principles
- Understanding of accounting coding language and application
- Experience with accounting software, we use MYOB
- Excellent math skills
