A day in the life of a Senior Bookkeeper:

  • Investment bookkeeping including reconciliation with broker statements and tax reporting slips.
  • Full cycle accounting including A/P, A/R, bank and credit card reconciliation and month end journal entries.
  • Preparation of supporting documents for year-end preparation for internal accounting team
  • Preparation and filing of HST/GST returns
  • Preparation of payroll schedules and related source deduction.
  • Other Government reporting including EHT and WSIB.
  • Correspondence with Canada Revenue Agency, as required.

What we are looking for:

  • University degree or college diploma. 
  • Investment bookkeeping (a must)
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience
  • QuickBooks skills are a must have as well as knowledge and experience in a variety of software applications including Caseware, Caseview, Write Up, Tax Prep, Excel and other MS Office Applications.
  • Have a self-starter attitude with well-developed time management skills and the commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Have proven problem solving capabilities including ingenuity, analytical skills and creativity
  • Possess exceptional technical skills and a fine attention to detail
  • Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare and clearly present information to our clients and team
  • Public accounting experience will be a definite plus.
