AP/AR Manager- Applewood Auto Group

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for maintaining accurate financial processes to oversee our AP/AR functions. This position is an on-site role, located at our Applewood Kia Surrey Accounting head office.
Role & Responsibilities:

Review and approve AP invoices for payment.
- Monitor and manage cash flow for AP and AR functions.
- Oversee the collections process for outstanding AR balances.
- Analyze and reconcile AP and AR accounts regularly.
- Develop and implement efficient AP and AR processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports related to AP and AR for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor AP and AR staff on best practices and procedures.
- Evaluate and select vendors for payment processing and AR financing.
- Optimize vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms.
- Conduct periodic audits of AP and AR processes to identify areas for improvement.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in AP and AR management.
- Handle escalated issues related to AP and AR operations.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for process improvements and system implementations.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

Accounting education or experience is required

At least 5 years of experience in AP and AR roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position

Must be proficient and highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word

Proficient spoken and written English

The ability to be punctual, reliable and meticulous

The ability to be courteous and friendly with co-workers

The ability to meet frequent deadlines

Accounting experience in an automotive dealership is highly desired

Must have supervised staff of 2 or more people for a year or more
Compensation:
The compensation range for the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager position at the Applewood Auto Group is between $55,000 to $65,000 annually. The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience in accounting, as well as other relevant factors. Please note that this range is provided as a general guideline and may vary depending on the qualifications and expertise of the selected candidate.
