Role Description
Position Overview: We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to accuracy. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate and send customer invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and record receipts.
2. Data Entry and Bookkeeping:
• Enter financial transactions into the accounting software with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
3. Expense Management:
• Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
4. Administrative Support:
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, including filing, scanning documents, and maintaining records.
• Collaborate with team members to support departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in accounting software; Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
