RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
· Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
· Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
· Bank and credit card reconciliations
· Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
· Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
· Payroll
· Government filings, GST/HST and Payroll remittances
· Onboarding new clients and transferring existing data to cloud software
· Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed of engagements

QUALIFICATIONS
** Proficiency in QBO and QuickBooks online is a must**
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, QBO, QuickBooks Desktop and Sage50
· Responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, financial reports and government filings -HST, payroll source deduction remittances.
· Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
· Other software that are considered an asset are Dext, Hubdoc. Xero, and Wagepoint
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.
· Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.

· Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
