As a part-time salaried bookkeeper for our Winnipeg office, you will be part of a small but dedicated team who is committed to providing excellent financial resources to the ministry of TeachBeyond and its members. This position allows for mostly remote work from home but occasional on-site work.
Qualifications:
- Experience and aptitude with accounting and payroll systems
- Proficiency in financial record-keeping
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Professional experience in a faith-based non-profit organization an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for day-to-day business, technological savvy with internet and other IT systems or willingness and ability to learn quickly

Responsibilities:
- Operates computers programmed with accounting software to set up accounts coordinated with Donor Services for recording, storing and analyzing information
- Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers while checking for accuracy and proper coding
- Debits, credits and totals accounts in computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software
- Coordinates and acts as liaison between Finance and other services teams
- Processes the financial aspects of new employees, change of assignment and terminations as they impact accounting, such as monthly deductions and transfers
- Ensures compliance with federal, provincial and company policies, procedures, and regulations as it relates to employment accounting best practices
- Provide support as necessary during the annual audits and other projects assigned by management
