Role Summary
Financial Analyst plays a crucial role within the organization, reporting to the ISC Finance Business Partner. This role serves as a bridge between the organization and Supply Chain Management, with a primary focus on achieving ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) savings and efficiencies. Key responsibilities include supporting Supply Chain function with financial analysis for decision-making, coordinating the annual budgeting and quarterly estimating process, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing and reporting globally, and driving efficiency projects in collaboration with Managers while providing financial input for business plans.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data, generating financial reports and statements for ISC functions (Production/Logistics/Procurement), and managing relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure the Month End Closing process is completed with high quality and in a timely manner, including preparing the latest estimates and budgets for ISC functions.
- Support efforts to simplify, structure, and enhance transparency in reporting, aiming to improve efficiencies within ISC finance processes.
- Monitor and track savings initiatives within ISC functions and overall cost development, ensuring transparency and follow-up.
- Participate actively in developing strategies for local ISC functions and assist in the annual budgeting process and preparing estimates.
- Ensure structured and rigorous development of business cases and investments.
- Provide support for Group and local initiatives, including data gathering and analysis, ad-hoc reporting, scenario development and validation, and other finance-related tasks to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Conduct accurate analysis on variances, identifying Risks & Opportunities.
- Ensure proper utilization of ERP and other reporting and analysis systems within designated areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate across functions and organizations, particularly with ISC functions, FP&A team, and local/regional management.
Qualifications:
- A University/College degree in accounting is required, a professional accounting designation such as CPA, or actively working towards obtaining one is considered an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting role with at least one year of professional experience in controlling, with a significant portion focused on supply chain functions such as production, logistics, and procurement.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Knowledge of Power BI will be viewed as an asset.
- Hands-on experience with accounting databases and ERP systems (MS Business Central)
- Proficient in both independent and team-based work.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think in terms of cause and consequence.
- Capable of meeting critical deadlines during month-end cycles during budget/forecasts.
- Enthusiastic about improving and automating system processes.
