Parts for Trucks is an industry leader dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to the heavy-duty trucking industry. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team.
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring payments are made on time and maintaining vendor relationships. Details:
- Process a high volume of invoices, matching purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and process electronic payments and checks for vendor payments.
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions, filing packing slips, invoices in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
- Assist with general office duties, including reception relief.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting Concentration) or similar post-secondary training.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to delay and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
