JOB SUMMARY:
The position of Manager, Finance carries a responsibility to represent themselves professionally with those we support, co-workers and within the community. Reporting to the Director, Finance, the responsibilities include coordination with all policies, procedures, legislative requirements and generally accepted accounting principles. This position also provides administrative support and back up to the Director, Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum of a post-secondary graduation equivalent to a four (4) year degree in business studies with a professional accounting designation such as CPA Professional Designation (CA, CGA or CMA). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in financial and administrative management with a minimum of two (2) years in a leadership/supervisory capacity.
Special Skills: Understanding non-profit accounting and charity law would be an asset. Solid proficiency in MS Office, Suite, Excel. Specialized databases and accounting software. Sound service orientation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent people management and leadership skills.
