Office Administrator/Bookkeeper
Jenn Trucking Ltd. is an Alberta based oilfield trucking company that has been in business for 30 years operating in the Peace Region. We are a family owned and operated business located in McRae Industrial Park, in the county of Grande Prairie, AB.
We looking for a full time Office Administrator/Bookkeeper to join our team for a long term position.
Start date is August 1, 2024.
The successful candidate will be in charge of the office administration & bookkeeping duties for Jenn Trucking Ltd.
Description of Duties – Day to day responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
· Answering the office phone, talking messages and directly callers to the appropriate dept.
· Processing invoices, A/R, A/P, and Payroll (CAFT Payroll processing)
· Posting journal entries and reconciling of accounts
· Preparing reports for management, bank and accountant (Month end, GST, Payroll, WCB, Year End, etc.) Timely and accurate monthly financial reports are required.
· Some HR duties that will include but not limited to: Aiding with preparation of employee paperwork, testing, enrollment of courses, etc.
· Maintaining up-to-date information on company website. www.jenntrucking.com
· Organization and maintenance of company filing systems
Job Requirements
· Post-secondary diploma/bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance.
· Minimum 3 years experience in the accounting/bookkeeping field
· Experience with Axon Trucking software is an Asset, not a must. Training will be provided
· Sage 50 Accounting Software experience
· Experience with Open Invoice & Cortex.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
· Willingness to learn
· Co-operation with management and the other team members
· Compliance with company policies & procedures
· Perform accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy
· Ability to adapt to a situation
· Ability to work independently, yet understand the importance of working as part of a team
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Detail oriented, accurate, efficient and able to work under pressure
· Out-going, driven, self-motivated, reliable and dedicated
· Excellent time management, analytical, organizational and follow up skills
· Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all company matters
· Must be TECH savvy
· Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an asset
· Current RCMP Criminal Background check (If you are selected for a final interview)
Working Conditions
· 40 hr. work week with possibility of pre-approved overtime. (Start of day times are flexible).
· In person office attendance. Remote working is not an option at this time.
· Office personnel consists of 5 persons max.
· Company funded additional training when required.
