WBM Partners LLP (WBM) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our expanding practice. We are looking for an energetic professional, who leads by example, can multi task to meet deadlines and has strong communication skills. This role requires someone with a strong accounting background with a strong interest in helping clients reach their goals. The Senior Accountant role is a dynamic position that enables them to be involved with all facets of our practice by working closely with our assurance, tax and advisory team.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Prepare Notice to Reader and Review Engagements, including completion of all working papers, adjusting journal entries, and financial statements in accordance with Firm standards;
- Keep up-to-date on the content and practical applications of accounting and assurance standards, and know how to access and research professional and technical materials;
- Proactively identify engagement issues, and recommend solutions;
- Identify process improvements for future assignments and share this knowledge and experience with other team members, including less experienced staff;
- Complete Personal and Corporate Tax Returns, Trust Returns, and T4 and T5 tax slips
- Assisting our tax professionals with accounting and analytical support relating to variety of complex tax transactions
- Effective communication with our clients, with government agencies and with our partners and staff
- Assisting and supervising junior assurance staff
- Working cooperatively and effectively with other staff members
Qualifications and Competencies:
- CPA Designation (and/or legacy CA, CMA, or CGA)
- 3 - 5 years of relevant public practice experience(Candidates without this will not be contacted)
- Proficiency in MS Office, CaseWare, JazzIt, and Taxprep
- Public accounting experience including Review Engagements and the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
- Demonstrates a high commitment to quality client service, quality of work, compliance with the Firm’s policies and procedures, professional ethics and integrity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills & client service skills
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
